My experience selling my product on Codecanyon

There are millions of products on Codecanyon.
I thought I could make money selling my product on Codecanyon.
It took me 4 months to develop my product.
It took me another one month to get it approved on Codecanyon.
Once approved I thought sales would be flowing.
I had 800 visits on the first day.
My server went down. Too many traffic.
I solved the server issue.
Then made 10 sales the first week.
I was happy, I've been earning $140 the first week.
Then sales gone down the second week.
Sales kept going down to a point I was only making one to two sales per week.
I've made a total of 22 sales the first month which is $308
I've decided to improve my product. To make it better.
I've spent a lot of hours on it.
Now I had a better version of the product.
Sales stopped going down yet it didn't increased at all.
I was making around 0 to 2 sales per week. Not much.
I thought that after a couple of month traffic would increase and would sale.
I even imagined 1000s of sales.  But after 5 months I only made 50 sales like millions of other unsuccessful products on Codecanyon.
In the end I no-more bothered replying to comments nor updating my product.
